Since in July 1998, SQ launched into a R&D re-engineering program to reach a goal as a professional design company dedicated in providing Multimedia chip solutions . Through the running and efforts over the years, the relative products are obtained highly praise from the market. So far, SQ provides a complete product line of DSC SoC/Scanner Controller /Digital Video Camera Controller/IP CAM Controller/PC CAM Controller/Multimedia Application Controller in order to fulfill all kinds of clients' requirements. Especially in introducing high-functional image scanner controller to cooperate with major domestic and foreign manufacturers, such as HP and Canon, to create a fine selling record, and the global marketing share was reached above 22%. In particular, SQ introduced USB2.0 4,800 dpi slim type scanner controller, which enabled the major scanner manufacturer HP to successfully introduce a whole new slim type transparent scanner to lead global popularity. |

| DSC SoC is the main product line of SQ. For recent years, SQ acquires quite excellent achievement on product development and market expansion. Since 2004, the market scale for accumulative production of DSC SoC reached at least 10 million units each year, and SQ took 65% of global market share for products less than two-mega pixels. In 2006, a new generation CMOS DSC SoC Controller with five-mega pixels was introduced, and further cooperates with the global first-ranking digital camera manufacturer (Premier), to successfully develop and produce 3 million DSC products with five-mega pixels. And then it pushed SQ in digital image sphere to another new milestone. |

In October 2004, SQ completed the plan ¡§ IP CAM SoC with image tracking and video compression function ¡¨ which guided and subsidized by Industrial Development Bureau , Ministry of Economic Affairs. Based on the outcome and technology of R & D for this project, the relevant technology as image detector and dynamic image tracking had been successfully guided into the products as IP Cam Controller and PC Cam Controller, which made the development of new technology and product application acquire a complete integration. |

After introducing high-level USB 2.0 PC Camera Solution to the market in 2004, SQ relied on the creative cooperation with clients to successfully develop several types of USB 2.0 CCD PC Cam, and which included the product of motor drive image tracking. Furthermore, a new generation USB 2.0 PC Cam SoC Solution was introduced in 2006, and its market mainly dedicated on the module market of USB 2.0 External PC Cam and Notebook Embedded PC Cam. |
